There comes a point when you have to ask yourself a question:
How long am I willing to keep waiting for somebody else to be ready before I start seeing the world?
If you are a Gen X woman, you may know exactly what I mean.
You have talked about the trip.
You have saved the Instagram posts.
You have looked at cruises, resorts, and destinations late at night.
You may even have a Pinterest board full of places you plan to visit “one day.”
Then reality steps in.
Your friends cannot get the time off.
Someone’s budget does not match yours.
Your sister does not want to fly that far.
Your partner is not interested in the destination you have been dreaming about.
Before you know it, another year passes.
What If You Stopped Waiting?
I have been traveling solo for 25 years.
I have also spent nearly 20 years working part-time as a travel advisor. Before that, I spent nine years working in the airline industry.
When I talk about solo travel, I am not speaking only from the perspective of someone who enjoys taking vacations.
I have experienced travel as a passenger, an airline employee, and a travel professional.
After all those years, there is one thing I have noticed:
Most women who are nervous about traveling solo do not need more information.
We already have plenty of information available to us.
Google can give you thousands of hotel recommendations.
TikTok can show you what to pack.
YouTube can give you a 45-minute guide to almost any destination in the world.
The real challenge is often figuring out one important thing:
What makes sense for me?
That is where confidence comes in.
Traveling Solo Does Not Mean Figuring Everything Out Alone
One of the biggest misconceptions about solo travel is that you are supposed to know everything before you go.
You are not.
Traveling solo simply means you are taking the trip without depending on someone else to accompany you.
It does not mean you have to research every destination, figure out every airport, choose every hotel, and make every travel decision without guidance.
There is a big difference between being independent and being unsupported.
Sometimes, what you need is not another travel checklist.
You need an experienced person to look at your situation and say:
“Here is where I would start.”
“This type of trip might be a better fit for you.”
“You are worrying about something that is very manageable.”
“This is something I would actually pay attention to.”
“Here is what you should do next.”
That kind of clarity can turn months, or even years, of overthinking into an actual decision.
Maybe You Are Not Afraid of Solo Travel
Maybe you are afraid of making the wrong decisions.
Where should you go for your first solo trip?
Should you take a cruise?
Would an adults-only resort feel more comfortable?
Would you prefer joining a group trip where you can arrive solo but still have people around?
Should your first solo experience be domestic or international?
How much should you budget?
Should you stay close to the airport?
What happens if your flight is delayed?
What if you hate eating alone?
What if you feel lonely?
What if something goes wrong?
Those are legitimate questions.
They do not have to keep you at home.
Introducing the Solo Trip Clarity Intensive
I created the Solo Trip Clarity Intensive specifically for Gen X women who want to travel but need clarity and confidence before taking the next step.
This is not a generic travel-planning call.
Before we meet, you will complete a brief questionnaire so I can learn about:
- Your travel experience
- The type of trip you are considering
- Your travel style
- Your comfort level
- Your concerns
- Your approximate budget
- What has stopped you from traveling solo so far
- The questions you most want answered
Then, we will spend 60 focused minutes together on Zoom talking about your specific situation.
Instead of spending half of our session figuring out what you need, I will already have that information before we meet.
During our conversation, we will work through the decisions that have been keeping you stuck and identify your best next steps.
Afterward, you will receive a brief personalized recap so you do not have to rely on memory to remember everything we discussed.
Founding Client Price: $125
I am initially opening a limited number of these sessions at a founding-client price of $125.
The Solo Trip Clarity Intensive does not include full itinerary planning or travel booking.
If you decide afterward that you would like professional help planning and booking your vacation, we can discuss those services separately.
The purpose of this session is simple:
Clarity.
I want you to leave saying:
“Okay. I know what I need to do next.”
How Much Longer Do You Want to Wait?
This is the part I want my fellow Gen X women to really think about.
How long has your destination been sitting on your wish list?
One year? Five years? Ten years?
At some point, “one day” has to become a decision.
You do not have to suddenly become the world’s bravest traveler.
You do not have to book a ticket tomorrow.
You certainly do not have to prove anything to anybody.
You can, however, start getting the information and confidence you need to make a decision that feels right for you.
Traveling solo does not mean figuring everything out alone.
Maybe the next chapter of your life does not require somebody else to finally become available.
Maybe it requires you to become ready.
Ready to get clear on your next move?
Book your 60-Minute Solo Trip Clarity Intensive for $125, and let’s talk about the trip you have been thinking about long enough.
Peace & 1-Love
