There’s nothing more courageous and liberating than a solo traveling woman. Traveling solo is highly rewarding because it gives you time for self-reflection, confidence, and self-growth. You have the opportunity to do what you want, eat what you want, see what you want, go where you want without no explanation. I don’t know about you but I love this sense of kinky freedom. I’ve truly enjoyed my solo travels to each of these destinations and look forward to going back as a solo traveler. Ladies, expand your mind and travel to one of these best solo travel destinations for women.
This fabulous city is full of culture, excitement and British charm. You might find yourself asking all the men for directions just to hear their sexy accents…. oh wait a minute, I did that. You’ll want to get around this big city using “the Tube” which is their train system. There’s plenty of festivals, iconic spots, museums, and tours to explore so you won’t get bored at all. Just remember that London is a bit pricey so make sure to save up before you go. The best time to travel to London is the summer unless you want to freeze your booty during the winter months as I did.
San Francisco, California:
If you’re a seafoodie and chocolate lover like me then this is the place to be to feed your belly. San Fran is a gorgeous action-packed city with amazing hills and picturesque bay views. You can spend most days walking through Chinatown, Union Square or riding the ferry and trolley but remember to bring a light jacket because it can get windy. Pleasure your taste buds at the Fisherman’s Wharf and Ghirardelli Square. There are a few amazing day trips from San Francisco such as Calistoga, Muir Woods, Napa Valley, and Sausalito. My recommended Italian eatery is Michelangelo Ristorante & Caffe.
San Juan, Puerto Rico:
Hola! For an affordable beach getaway without needing a passport for U.S. citizens this is it, amigo. I felt right back at home in the Bronx, New York. Although it was a bit tough locating authentic Puerto Rican food please don’t eat the local U.S. fast food like Subway and Taco Bell. The best PR dish was Mofongo which is deep fried green plantains mashed with spices and pork or seafood. This beautiful island is great for rest and relaxation or exploring the rich history or hike in El Yunque National Rain Forest.
St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Island:
Another island escape that doesn’t require a passport for U.S. citizens and fairly inexpensive. Get ready to satisfy your belly with crab bisque, lobster salad, mahi-mahi, and many more delicious foods. It’s easy to get around this small island via the jitney bus, rental car or water taxi. A few fun excursions in St Thomas includes snorkeling, sightseeing, shopping, and beach tours, along with additional options for ecotours, hiking, parasailing, power boat charters, and underwater explorations. The best thing to do is island hop to St. John, St. Croix, Tortola, and Virgin Gorda.
