3 Key Benefits to get TSA Pre-Check

3 Key Benefits to get TSA Pre-CheckFirst: What is TSA Pre-Check? By pre-screening applicants, TSA Pre-Check allows you to skip the regular lines and go through airport security efficiently by providing a separate lane for low-risk travelers. Though these passengers are still subject to random searches, the overall process tends to go by much more quickly. TSA Pre-check cannot be used for International Travel.

  1. It Simply Makes Life Easier:

You can keep your toiletries and electronics inside your bag, leave on your belt, light jacket and leave on your shoes (if they don’t set off the metal detector so don’t wear your tap dance shoes). You can walk through the old metal detector rather than striking a pose in that body scanner.

  1. More than 160 US Airports Participate:

Right now, Pre-Check is compatible with more than 30 carriers at over 160 airports. Participating airlines include Aeromexico, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, All Nippon Airways, Allegiant Airlines, American Airlines, Aruba Airlines, Avianca, Boutique Airlines, Cape Air, Cathay Pacific Airways, Contour Aviation, Delta Air Lines, Emirates, Etihad, Finnair, Frontier Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines, InterCarribbean Airways, JetBlue Airways, Korean Air, Lufthansa, Seaborne Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Spirit Airlines, Sun Country Airlines, Turkish Airlines, United Airlines, Virgin America, and WestJet.

  1. It Lasts for 5 Years:

The cost is only $85 for expedited airport security which is only $17 per year for the privilege. It won’t take many trips to the airport for this expense to be worthwhile.

I personally enjoy TSA Pre-Check because I get through security with ease and less hassle. I hated taking off my shoes and that body scanner was even more dreadful as I wondered should I have shaved.
